How to Join the Austin Kendo Doshikai

 Beginners should register for the basic Kendo class with the UT Informal Classes. The class number is 2410.301.

After completing the beginners class, you will be invited to practice with the seniors from the AKD and the UTKA. If you are a UT student, you may join the UT Kendo Association; non-students may join the AKD.

AKD members must pay bi-annual dues to the doshikai, and annual dues to the regional federation. They must also register each semester for the advanced Kendo class through the UT Informal Classes.

We have a limited amount of equipment available for regularly practicing members.
