21st Longhorn Invitational - Team Kendo Taikai

Austin Kendo Doshikai and the Kendo Association at the University of Texas hosted the Longhorn Invitational Team Kendo Taikai on Saturday, September 26, 2026. We are grateful to have had AUSKF and SWKIF President, Mr. Michio Kajitani, Kendo Kyoshi 7-Dan, serve as our Tournament President.

Houston Kendo Kyokai Team B took first place in the Longhorn Invitational this year, defeating Dallas Ft. Worth Kendo & Iaido Kyokai Team A. Third place went to Houston Kendo Kyokai Team A and Plano Kendo Dojo Team A.

1st ATX Youth Individual Kendo Championship

This year we held the inaugural ATX Youth Individual Kendo Championship, sponsored by Pure Yoga + Fitness (www.pureyogatexas.com). Boys and girls 12-17 competed for the perpetual “Pure Yoga Cup” trophy.
