Austin Kendo Doshikai and the Kendo Association at the University of Texas host the 20th Longhorn Invitational Team Kendo Taikai on Saturday, September 27. OFFICIAL TOURNAMENT RULES AND REGISTRATION INFORMATION COMING SOON.

SPECIAL NOTE: Our tournament has historically been limited to 5-dan and below to allow for continued development of our region’s kendo. As our federation has been growing and improving, beginning this tournament year, teams will be allowed one 6-dan or 7-dan kenshi per team. Please take this updated rule into consideration as you plan for the taikai.

• Saturday 7:30am to 4:30pm: 20th Longhorn Invitational Team Kendo Taikai

• Saturday 4:30pm to 5:30pm: Godo Keiko

• Saturday 7:00pm to 9:30pm: Sayonara Party (Casa Chapala)

• Sunday 9:30am to 12:00pm: SWKIF Shinsa (up to 4-Dan)

• Sunday 12:00pm to 1:00pm: Godo Keiko
